Truth and Hope

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. – Matthew 28:18-20

Ministry House

Bulgarian Ministry House Vision

In Bulgaria, since we are limited in facilities, we need to make the most of what is available. Since we have outgrown our office and classroom space, we are praying about purchasing a house that can be used in 4 additional practical ways: conference center, missionary hub, a home for women in need, and an art & work program - so that we can fulfill the great commission.

ConferenceCenter– Currently we host many seminars and retreats on a yearly basis, teaching the Bulgarian nationals the Word of God. However, we are limited in the number of retreats and seminars per year due to the cost involved. Hotels are very expensive and for smaller more intimate retreats, such as the Go in Peace weekends, we must share the hotel with others who enjoy all types of vices. Also many of the Bulgarians cannot afford the cost involved for a retreat at a hotel.

Missionary Hub – When the house is not being used as a Conference Center we will have the ability to host missionary teams. The house can be used as a missionary hub for both short-term and long-term missionaries. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few (Luke 10:2), yet we are called to go and make disciples of all nations. It is our prayer that more workers will come to work in Bulgaria. The ministry house can be a launching pad for those who are interested. They can come and work at the ministry house, while working they can allow the Holy Spirit to speak to their hearts to show them the other tremendous needs throughout this hurting country.

Door of Hope – Currently there are no facilities in Bulgaria that meet the practical needs of hurting women. Door of Hope will offer a place for a woman in need to live. Currently we are able to meet a woman’s spiritual and emotional needs through our Go in Peace discipleship program as we disciple them in the truth of God’s Word, but we are unable to offer practical help for a woman in a crisis situation such as an abused woman or an unwed mother. Door of Hope will answer this need. We will offer a one-year program where a hurting woman can come and live at the ministry house. During this time she will be ministered to on a spiritual and emotional level as well as a practical level. The woman will also be taught job and financial skills so that she will be prepared to live on her own once the year-long program is complete.

Art & Work Program – We have discovered during our craft time at women’s retreat that the Bulgarian women really open up and share while they are doing a project. We are preparing ways to meet both a practical need in the women’s lives by providing a way to earn a living with arts and crafts while opening the door for communication. This program will be available to all the women we work with, not just those who are residing at the ministry house.
